CANINE HYDROTHERAPY

I work in close conjunction with Canine Aquatread to provide hydrotherapy as part of our sessions if required.

The Underwater Treadmill is a fantastic piece of equipment that can produce outstanding results. Most dogs take to the treadmill really well. Once inside the treadmill, warm water is raised to the appropriate level for each specific problem. The water temperature, depth and treadmill speed can all be adjusted and used to create the desired therapeutic effect, such as reduced weight-bearing, increased range of movement, normalising gait and increasing fitness. We may also use floats, manual support and muscle facilitation during sessions. Most dogs and owners cannot wait to come back again after the first session!
